With spring break right around the corner, my family was trying to figure out how to squeeze in a fun vacation on the cheap. After brainstorming a bit, we remembered that one of our cousins has a small beach cottage on the Washington coast. We call them up and sure enough, they were willing to loan us the cottage for a couple of days.The kids are super excited and so are we. We will end up with two long travel days for two days of beach time but we will make and adventure out of the trip so it is as much fun as possible.
One of my kids even went to the school library and checked out a book on beach combing so we can identify all of the treasures that we find on our walks. Check out the photo of the beach we visited. Doesn't it look good enough to be used for travel posters?
